I also ran HP Scanning Diagnosis, which gave several errors:ġ) unable to scan using the Windows Imaging service. I had probably deleted critical files necessary for the system. My next attempt is to perform chkdsk /r /f, and see if I could restore any critical files that I might have deleted when I uninstalled the printer program/driver the very first time. I have tried using HP's Driver/Software Uninstaller, which brings up a command prompt that deletes every remainings of the installation. I have tried rebooting, etc, for the past 15 hours. When the bar gets to 100%, the bar disappears, and does absolutely nothing. When I rebooted, and tried to install, the installation package would not go past beyond the % status bar. I had also uninstalled through the uninstaller, which prompted me if I wanted to delete the other files that could be used by other programs. I only did this because a certain print job would just not go away.

I needed to delete the printer from "Printers and Faxes" by right clicking it in selecting delete, which I should not have.
